Science Fiction Modeling Hobby Magazines In North America
About
Plamo Hobby Magazine was born from a simple question: Why isn’t there an English magazine dedicated to sci-fi model enthusiasts? While many rely on Japanese magazines and their translations, we believe the global community deserves its own voice.
Our mission is to showcase talented builders from around the world, not only from Asia, and to create a platform where their work can be seen, appreciated, and celebrated. We aim to provide opportunities for builders to share their passion, refine their craft, and even receive compensation for their contributions.
At Plamo Hobby Magazine, we believe that great content builds a stronger community. We want the world to see the creativity, skill, and dedication of sci-fi modelers everywhere.
See great works. Learn from great works. Create great works.
This is the motto of our editorial team.
Do not be confined by your surroundings—explore new possibilities. With Plamo Hobby Magazine, your passion becomes your platform, and your dreams are right in your hands.
Purpose of Magazine
Plamo Hobby Magazine is a non-profit sci-fi modeling enthusiast group that hopes to bring the world's best scale modeling work to English-speaking communities so that non-Chinese and Japanese-speaking communities can also come across the world's cutting-edge modeling techniques.
Magazine Vision
Vulcan Hobby leads Plamo Hobby Magazine, which has an editorial and graphic design partnership with Unlieitmd Studio. The magazine will be a quarterly publication updated in three yearly issues. Within five years, Plamo Hobby expects to become the definitive North American magazine for the sci-fi and mecha genres. To the greatest extent possible, it will be extended to English-speaking countries and regions worldwide.
